San Marino: Christmas 2014

The Ufficio Filatelico e Numismatico of San Marino dedicated to Christmas a philatelic set made up of 3 values of € 0.50 – 0.70 – 0.85. The designer Stefano Morri combined modernity and tradition with a plain style which overcomes the classical ritual representations with simplicity and determination. The first value of € 0.50 shows the symbolic representation of the announcement sited in front of the Government Building of San Marino, while the € 0.70 stamp depicts the Holy Family in a cave below the three Towers, symbol of the Republic. The last value of € 0.85 represents the Magi who are following the Comet and bringing the gifts in front of the Basilica of St Marino. The philatelic set dedicated to Christmas renews once again the mistery of the birth of Jesus Child.
